I’ve always been a huge fan of LEGOs, so when I came across the instructions to build these 3D LEGO pumpkins, resistance was pretty much futile.  I did run into a couple of stumbling blocks – first, the “LEGO Pumpkin Packs” that they direct you to buy are actually out of print, so you can’t buy them from LEGO anymore, and even worse, when I tried to build a custom order through the Pick a Brick section of their website for buying individual bricks, I found a couple of pieces weren’t available there, either.

Fortunately, good old eBay came to the rescue in the form of someone selling off their collection in bulk, and thus 5 pounds of orange bricks later, I found myself finally able to put together the awesome LEGO pumpkins that my mind had committed to several weeks ago!  The finished designs are pretty cool, too – it’s kind of tough to see from the picture, but there’s actually room for a small, electric tea light inside each one, so they even glow like real jack-o-lanterns and everything!
