LEGO Pumpkins!!!

I’ve always been a huge fan of LEGOs, so when I came across the instructions to build these 3D LEGO pumpkins, resistance was pretty much futile. I did run into a couple of stumbling blocks – first, the “LEGO Pumpkin Packs” that they direct you to buy are actually out of print, so you can’t buy them from LEGO anymore, and even worse, when I tried to build a custom order through the Pick a Brick section of their website for buying individual bricks, I found a couple of pieces weren’t available there, either.
Fortunately, good old eBay came to the rescue in the form of someone selling off their collection in bulk, and thus 5 pounds of orange bricks later, I found myself finally able to put together the awesome LEGO pumpkins that my mind had committed to several weeks ago! The finished designs are pretty cool, too – it’s kind of tough to see from the picture, but there’s actually room for a small, electric tea light inside each one, so they even glow like real jack-o-lanterns and everything!
If you’re a LEGO fan like me and feel like hunting down the pieces yourself, just check out the link above for the instructions. Here’s a list of everything that you’ll need:
- 2×2 orange brick (6)
- 2×3 orange brick (30)
- 2×4 orange brick (19)
- 2×8 orange brick (8)
- 2×1 black brick (2)
- 2×1 green brick (2)
- 2×2 45-degree orange roof tile (10)
- 2×2 45-degree green roof tile (1)
- 2×3 25-degree orange roof tile (4)
- 2×2 45-degree inverted orange roof tile (14)
- 2×3 25-degree inverted orange roof tile (6)
- 102 pieces total

i built one of these to but i didn’t make it out of orange only i really think that they are really cool but there is a little non 3d one on this other website it is only 18 pieces

Glad you enjoyed them as much as I did, Gimmy! I’ve been on a bit of a LEGO craze lately, so I think I might try my hand at a larger scale version of these this year…
P.S. I see that LEGO has removed the original link to the instructions, however you can still find a copy of them over on Gizmodo.
