2010 Pumpkin Season in Review
Overall I think 2010 was a pretty good year for pumpkins.
This year I posted more reviews than I ever have before, and not too far off from both 2008 & 2009 combined! As always, there were some great reviews and some pretty horrible ones, too, but since it’s more fun to focus on the positive, here were a few of my 2010 favorites:
- Jamba Juice Pumpkin Smash Smoothie
- McDonald’s Pumpkin Pie McCafe Shake
- Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice
- Arctic Zero Pumpkin Spice
- Paula Deen Collection Maple Pumpkin Butter
Of course, you might also recall that this year brought us a couple of extra special, fun posts, like these awesome LEGO pumpkins that I made for Halloween or even the enduring, day-turned-month-long project that was The All-Pumpkin Meal Plan … looking back, I’m surprised I’m not still working on that one!
So as we get ready to transition into 2011 here in a few hours, those of you long-time fans of the blog know that it will more or less go into hiatus for a while until we get to a more prominent pumpkin time again next year. I’ll still post random updates if I happen to come across a cool pumpkin sighting or maybe just whip up a pumpkin recipe on a whim to help pass the time, though, so be sure to keep me in your RSS reader so that you don’t miss out on any of the pumpkin-y fun.
And on that note, I’d like to leave you with some highlights from my very own pumpkin wishlist of ideas that I’d like to see sometime in the future – who knows, maybe 2011 will finally be the year when food companies the world over will finally come to embrace pumpkin and we won’t be able to buy anything come fall that doesn’t have at least a hint of pumpkin in it!
Hey, a guy can dream, can’t he?!
- Pumpkin Spice Eggo Waffles
- Pumpkin Cream Toaster Strudels (we did see Pop-Tarts this year, even though I didn’t review them)
- Quaker Pumpkin Chewy Granola Bars
- Yoplait Whips! Pumpkin Flavor (for the health-conscious pumpkin enthusiast)
- Pumpkin Cool Whip (what better to go on pumpkin pie?!)
- Swiss Miss Pumpkin Hot Chocolate
- Pumpkin Double Stuf Oreo Cookies (these might top Pumpkin Pop-Tarts on my awesome scale…)

Hi! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be ok. I’m undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.
