Oh yeah, one more thing… (who am I, Steve Jobs?)
Pretty much because I still feel guilty about not blogging nearly as much as I did last year, I finally broke down and setup LoudTwitter to post my daily Tweets from Twitter. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect because I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about it not working and the primary how-to post on LJ has roughly 145,000 steps to it, but apparently it’s out of date and they’ve made some improvements because setup was actually really easy – pretty much just supply the login/password for both Twitter and LiveJournal, activate LoudTwitter via the auto-sent e-mail, and simmer to perfection. There’s an option to post via ATOM now, so none of the post-by-email gibberish that’s mentioned in the previous.
Mind you, I’m still a little curious on the configuration because I caught it double-posting tonight, but I also messed with the posting time once today, too, so that might’ve had something to do with it. Also, I don’t like how some of the bullets overlap my post icon, but that’s an issue with my theme, not LoudTwitter.
All in all, I think this might work out better than I had expected because at least now the Twitter posts will all be archived in one place and I can go back and peruse those as well when I’m feeling nostalgic. Fun stuff…
